When we give our lives to the Lord, it does not mean that we will never struggle or suffer. Most Christians experience personal tragedy at some point in their walk with God. When we accept Jesus into our hearts, it does not make us immune to the trials and tribulations that may come upon us in this fallen world. However, knowing Jesus DOES position us to walk in peace in the midst of struggle.
" 1 ... Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name; You are Mine.
2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.
3 For I am the LORD your God,
The Holy One of Israel, your Savior ...
4 Since you were precious in My sight,
You have been honored, And I have loved you; Therefore I will give men for you,
And people for your life.
5 Fear not for I am with you ... "
Isaiah 43:1-4
God will give you peace that passes all understanding in the midst of Trials.
Jesus will never leave you or forsake you. Sometimes it feels like He is far away, especially in the middle of tribulation. The truth is, that Jesus is so very close to you in the midst of your pain. Even closer still, when you cannot feel Him.
